Toby, the Bionic Shepherd

Toby, Bob & Marie's wonderful German Shepherd, stayed at Kamp K-9 for a short while and had a great time while they were visiting family. A wonderful, balanced addition to the walk. After their return Toby hurt his leg while chasing a ball, or a squirrel, or a bird, or whatever caught his fancy. X-rays determined that he had a torn miniscus on one leg, and hip dysplasia on the other side. So Toby is now sporting a metal plate and screws on the injured leg with a very good prognosis (if he can let it heal). Does this mean he'll sink the next time he goes in the water?
